STUNT FESTIVAL

Program

DAY 1.

FRIDAY

MAIN HALL

Acting encompasses a significant amount of stunt work, and that’s why we’re organizing this workshop, to make a certain scene or task more convincing, concrete, or truer with our presence. Therefore, we will work on expressing our feelings more freely in front of the camera. Several short scenes will be selected that will satisfy a wide range of actor’s intentions and feelings, regardless of whether we want to show pain, laughter, joy, sadness, quarrel, death, and deal with the complexity of these feelings so that they can better present the story, more easily embody the characters. Hardly anyone who is primarily involved in stunts thinks about these things. “All beginnings are strange and it is difficult to persevere, but with a sufficient number of attempts, miracles are possible,” says the workshop leader, Nikša Butijer.

Gordon Alexander is one of the UK’s leading stuntmen and physical actors. Due to his exceptional acting talent and great physical abilities that he developed through martial arts, he found his place alongside Jackie Chan, Daniel Craig, Tom Cruise, Jason Statham – to name but a few. His notable work as an actor, stuntman, stunt double or action choreographer includes Shelter, 28 years later: The Bone Temple, Greenland 2: Migration, No Time to Die and many others.

What happens when creative and performing forces are united by little and big stuntmen, along with unexpected guests from another galaxy, find out in the opening program that brings excitement, tension and laughter!

LOUNGE

The purpose of the workshop is to provide stage performers, primarily film and theater actors, as well as acting students, with guidelines for safe and convincing handling, holding and carrying of short firearms (pistol), as well as movement within the given space / scene. Workshop participants will work in pairs and in groups, and will use rubber weapons.

Simone Belli, a world-renowned fight choreographer, brings part of COMBATCON, the biggest annual Stage Combat event (Las Vegas), where he participates as the only Italian instructor since 2018 with different workshops and innovative ideas. He combines his cinematographic and theatrical knowledge with all his knowledge in the sports-choreographic disciplines.
